Use a Meta Quest (2, 3, or 3s) device with the LiquidEarth app on Windows by connecting the Quest device to your computer via Quest Link.

This allows you to seamlessly switch between normal usage of the desktop app and fully immersive mixed reality usage. Furthermore, on most modern PCs, the framerate should be more stable than the native Quest app, providing a more comfortable experience.

Pre-requisites

• Install Meta Quest Link on your Windows computer.

• Navigate to the Beta tab of the Meta Quest Link settings and enable “Developer runtime features” and then “Pass-through over Meta Quest Link”.

  

• Either a strong WiFi connection for Air Link or a high quality USB 3 connection.

How to enter the mixed reality camera mode

Outside of the LiquidEarth app:

• Install and run Meta Quest Link.
• Connect the Quest device to your computer using Meta Quest Link (Air Link or with USB 3 cable).

In the LiquidEarth app:

1. Enable Quest Link in Settings > Advanced > Advanced Features > More Advanced Features.

   Note: This options is only available in the Windows app for LiquidEarth versions 2025.1.9 or later.

2. Select Quest Link from the Camera Modes dropdown.

3. To return to normal desktop usage, select one of the other camera modes from the dropdown.
