Find the Selection Indicator settings in Settings > Display > UI. Expand Selection Indicator Settings to show or hide the selection indicator and the distance to the selected item.

The Selection Indicator helps you locate selected content in the 3D workspace.

• When it appears: The indicator is shown only when selected content is sufficiently far from the camera. It disappears as the camera moves close to the content.
• On-screen content: A circular indicator shows the content's position and its distance from the camera.
• Off-screen content: The indicator becomes an arrow that points toward the selected content.

When content is on-screen, the indicator is circle and displays a spatial distance measurement.

When content is off-screen, the indicator changes to an arrow pointing to the content.
