2024.1
The explorer panel displays lists of projects and data a user has access to remotely or locally. Its main purpose is the navigation and selection of elements and data.
The explorer currently comprises four main sections:
2025.1
The Explorer is the central interface in LiquidEarth for managing your spaces, data, and tools. It provides a structured and intuitive way to organize, access, and interact with your content, whether stored locally or in the cloud. The Explorer is essential for navigating your projects and performing key actions in the application.
Explorer: Hierarchical Organization
- Spaces are displayed as the top-level elements, serving as containers for all associated data and content.
- Data is grouped by type (e.g., surface meshes, volumes, boreholes) for easier navigation.
- Object3D elements are organized at the same hierarchical level as other data types for clarity and consistency.
Explorer: Unified View
- Displays all accessible content, whether stored locally or in the cloud.
- Visual indicators differentiate between data locations:
- Cloud Symbol: Content available in the cloud but not loaded locally.
- Green Checkmark: Content loaded locally.
- Highlighted Spaces: Spaces currently loaded into the 3D workspace.
Explorer: Filtering Options
- Apply filters to narrow down data by type, category, date, or other attributes.

Explorer: Direct Actions
Various essential tasks are directly accessible via the explorer, including:
- Creating and deleting spaces.
- Loading and unloading spaces.
- Uploading and importing files.
- Reordering spaces via drag and drop.
