In LiquidEarth, real-time collaborative sessions automatically establish a voice link between participating users, facilitating live conversations.
To control what audio is transmitted or received, users can utilize the Audio Input Toggle and Audio Output Toggle features in the collaboration panel found in the top bar.
You can turn both microphone and speakers on and off in the collaboration controls panel.
Our voice chat system employs active filtering technology to suppress background noise and enhance vocal clarity. It also features echo cancellation, which aims to eliminate any audio feedback resulting from your device's microphone picking up speaker outputs. This function automatically fine-tunes itself over the first few seconds of use, improving echo suppression significantly over time.
For best results, headphones are recommended.
Please note that the app will use the device’s audio system settings as a default, i.e., the speakers and microphone users have set up for their system. The option to switch between audio input and output hardware has not been implemented in LiquidEarth, yet.
Users on Meta Quest platform may need to manually enable microphone permissions in their device settings as shown in the Figure below.
On Meta Quest devices, you may need to assign LiquidEarth permission to access the microphone.
