The Note Block is an Annotation feature and type of Block in LiquidEarth, designed to enable users to incorporate text within the app. This tool aids users in providing descriptive or explanatory notes alongside data or other blocks, fostering a comprehensive narrative within a Space.

To add a note, select the content you want to append it to and navigate to the Block section in the inspector. Select the Note Block. To rename the block, double-click its name field. To start or finish editing text, select the Edit button. Editing also ends when the text field loses focus.

With Preview Mode enabled, you can display a Note Block as a 3D object in the scene. Use the Inspector to toggle its 3D representation. Selecting the 3D representation opens the note’s display panel without opening the full Inspector.

The Note Block supports basic markdown syntax, offering users the ability to format their notes effectively. It also allows the inclusion of Hyperlinks, enabling references to other elements within a space. These can include data such as surface meshes or individual boreholes, as well as other annotations, including other notes or views.

Hyperlinks can also point to external websites. Overall, this functionality enhances the internal interconnectivity of content within a space, facilitates the integration of external information, and supports the creation of clear, professional narratives.
