GeoTIFF import is available in Preview Mode. It imports .tif and .tiff raster files directly into a space.

Import A GeoTIFF Raster

  1. Enable Preview Mode under Settings > Advanced > Advanced Features.
  2. Open the Data Import Wizard for the target space.
  3. Select Rasters, then choose GeoTIFF Raster.
  4. Choose a file from the workspace, upload it from your device, or drag and drop it into the staging area.
  5. Review the selected file, then select Import.

During upload, LiquidEarth validates the GeoTIFF and applies information from the file, including its spatial extent, pixel dimensions, and band structure. The importer supports RGB, RGBA, palette-based, and single-band rasters, with automatic color-mode detection for rendering.

Note: Single-band GeoTIFFs currently use the viridis colormap instead of greyscale.
