The Transform Panel in the inspector can be used for numerical readings and accurate changes to the position, rotation, and scale of 3D elements, including spaces, Content, and 3D representations related to Blocks such as callouts or clipping planes. The Reset button can undo all changes relating to transformations, including those attained by interacting directly with the bounding box or Manipulator (Transform Gizmo).
In applications involving Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality, different viewing scales are crucial for interacting with 3D datasets effectively.
At the top of the panel, the Scale Mode can be switched between World Scale and Model Scale (when a space is selected). This allows users to view the Space either as a scaled-down overview version or in its actual real-world dimensions.
Model Scale provides a compact, rescaled representation that allows for an overview of the entire dataset, making it easier to inspect larger structures. World Scale, on the other hand, maintains real-world proportions, enabling users to experience the space at its actual size.
The Scaling Parameter represents the factor applied to switch between these modes. Additionally, to ensure a consistent reference frame, the space is shifted so that its origin aligns with (0,0,0). This adjustment standardizes the dataset's positioning and improves spatial consistency across different viewing modes.
Both the Scaling Parameter and Space Shift fields are only visible when a Space is selected, as opposed to when viewing individual Content elements.
