Asynchronous collaboration is a key use case of LiquidEarth, designed to enhance the flexibility and productivity of teams working on geoscientific data. As opposed to synchronous, Real-Time Collaboration where all team members need to meet online and interact at the same time, asynchronous collaboration allows team members to contribute to a shared project or space at different times, from any location.
Key features for asynchronous collaboration in LiquidEarth include:
Through these features, LiquidEarth supports asynchronous collaboration by enabling users to contribute to shared spaces in their own time, making it an efficient tool for international and remote teams. Additionally, LiquidEarth allows for an effortless transition from asynchronous to Real-Time Collaboration at any time (given a network connection).

Continuous State Synchronization: Changes made to a space and its contents are continuously synchronized with the cloud. As a result, even when two users are working in the same space but not in a Live Session, they will still see each other’s changes in near-real-time.

History and State Versioning: Every alteration within a space will automatically be saved and versioned. This will allow team members to revisit previous iterations of the space, track the progression of the work, and ensures that no information is lost, even with multiple users contributing.
